Well, I have a few questions regarding forums and websites.
First question: I have integrated Kunena into my Islamic website: http://www.OurIslamic.com The URL for the forum is quite lengthy, is it possible to change it to "forum.ourislamic.com"? If it is, how would I do it? Will it still be integrated with joomla? Second question: Is it possible to integrate vBulletin with Joomla or Wordpress? (I'm thinking about it for my site: http://www.DMQM.com). Is it even effective? My website: http://www.OurIslamic.com

All right, thanks :)
Kunena is one of the best free forums for integration with Joomla. One of my friends on TriPHP suggested that I look into it, and I did. You can get more info regarding it on Kunena.com My website: http://www.OurIslamic.com

You can intergrate wordpress and Joomla in to vbulletin but i wouldnt recommend it , merging the databases to have the same user base is just a nightmare, really you just need to design the forum the same as the main site and make people sign up to the main site separately if they want to use it

Well, I was hoping for a "high-function" and sophisticated forum that I can provide to my members. Also, I liked the idea that members can post on the blog and forum under the same account. The one account with access to the whole site is the reason why I integrated Kunena into my website. For a religious website, I don't need as many features, just enough to get people to talk to eachother and share opinions. However, for the site I'm looking to make now, which is a website devoted to talking and reviewing things, I need a powerful forum.

Anyways, I really hope that you can find the possible solution for your issue :)

I found a semi-solution. I'm currently using a free forum script called "Kunena" which can be integrated into Joomla. I'm eventually going to switch to vBulletin though. I wish it could be integrated, but I think I'll try my luck with the publishing suite after I get some testimonials. Hopefully someone reliable from this forum.
