Default How to use FTP
FTP Also Known as File Transfer Protocol, is the secure and most simplest way to upload and download files from the Internet or we can call it as servers. If you are a webmaster, who needs to control a lots of websites (most probably you maybe), you need to know about FTP and must Learn using it in the right effective way.

The most important and common use of FTP is to download an upload files from server. The ability to exchange/transfer files rapidly between computers and servers makes FTP essential for a webmaster who is in need of Managing a Professional website.

When you are downloading a file from Internet, you are really transferring that file from server to your Computer. That is why this method is known as File Transfer Protocol.

FTP is using Address Prefix somewhat same like HTTP address: ftp:// other than http://.

A computer which has an FTP address is receiving information from FTP Connection. Web Server or Website is a computer which is just made for Hosting (Keeping the files of) a website.

What is an FTP site?

FTP site also refers to a Big Filing cabinet. I mean, using this filing cabinet, the administrator can label and organize the files according to their wish. They can also chose its visibility or privacy. This is what an FTP site is.

For logging an FTP, there are virtual keys (User ID and Password). It is most probably set by the Web/Host Administrator and you can get it by hiring that person. As the FTP site is not public, there will be an unique User ID and Password for all those who are granted to access it.

When an FTP site allows any one to login (Anonymous login), there is no need of username and Password.

For making an FTP connection, the minimum requirements are: a Web Browser ( Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera etc.) or a dedicated File Transfer Protocol Client Software also known as an FTP Client.

Don't think that uploading and downloading will be easier with an FTP client, because of the additional Security features and restrictions. The File Transfer may not be according to your Internet speed, it can defer according to the number of files and the size of the file.

What is an FTP Client?

File Transfer Protocol Client refers to a Software which is designed to work in between two computers to share/transfer files. This software must be installed on your computer with a High Speed (I recommend) Internet Connection.A Classic FTP Client looks like a two-pane software. Actually one side side displays the files on the computer and the other side displays the files Live in the Server ( Internet and maybe working on the site).

File Transfers can be done easily by dragging them to one side or clicking an arrow button after selecting a file. Thus According to me, Using an FTP Client is comparatively easy.

There are a lots of features for FTP Client. Such figures include:

Multiple File Transfer
Auto Reject or Resuming Option
Method of Queuing each files before File Transfer taking place
Scripting utility
In-built Easy HTML Edit option (In most of the FTP clients)
Turn your PC into an FTP Client

Anyone can make a Computer as an FTP client even if it is your own Home PC. Why don't you take the advantage of the fastest, most secure and reliable means of transferring file: File Transfer Protocol Client (FTP Client).

Important Security Tips

- Be careful while giving permissions to anonymous people for accessing your FTP account. It can lead to the Many dangerous hacker Attacks.
Beware of your Bandwidth
- Avoid Using Multiple Login - Try to avoid making more FTP accounts. You may think that you can use the Second Account if you are using multiple logins. But this thought is actually wrong as there is more chance to get your account stolen
- Update User Accounts - Take time to remove your old accounts and try organizing new ones. Most of the FTP servers allows this option.

Not only faster but also secure and you can take hand to many features from a client FTP that some onlines tools haven't.
