Default Dell, the first with Moblin
Dell launched a new edition of the Mini 10V Netbook based on the operating system moblin (with Linux Kernel). Originally released with the version 2.0, then upgraded to the 2.1 after the release from Intel of this new version, this special edition of the Mini 10V is for sale at US for $299 (i don't know on the rest of the world).

More info about Moblin can be found at http://en.community.dell.com/wikis/l...r-edition.aspx

Also you can download the ISO image of this OS from http://linux.dell.com/files/ubuntu/m...v-edition-2.0/ following the instructions:

Quote:
Download the Moblin Installation Image

To download and install Ubuntu Moblin Remix on your Inspiron Mini 10v, complete the following steps.
NOTE: Installing Ubuntu Moblin Remix will erase all data on your hard drive. Please proceed with caution

1. Download the Ubuntu Moblin Remix USB image file (ubuntu-moblin-remix-latest.img) from here
2. Write the image file to a USB key. Instructions on how to do this from Windows, Linux, and Mac OS can be found here.
3. Put your USB key into the Inspiron Mini 10v, and reboot the system to boot from the USB key. Follow the instructions on the screen

And for a full imersion on Moblin i suggest you : http://moblin.org/

as far as netbooks are operated by Intel Celeron M 's (usually), this OS should be pretty fast and must have special sync software...
