Default Apple: no need to worry about the new Windows 7
Along the campaign introducing the new Windows 7, that was launched last October, there is a parallel marketing campaign, one started by Apple.

Several interviews of Phil Schiller points out even to a new imminent release of a new Apple. Apple marketing director, Phil Schiller, is better known as the keynote speaker for releases of new Apple products. In his interviews, he currently shows some shortcomings of the new Windows 7.

Schiller expects that new Windows 7 users will suffer from multiple serious drawbacks. He also predicts that users that would want to avoid being used as a testing field for a new operating system should perhaps jump in another operating system, like the Mac.

New Windows releases are known for their serious multiple flaws - even security flaws. And Apple is known for improving its market share after any release of Windows.

Apple has always seized the opportunities opened by new Microsoft releases. It has been so in the last ten years and there is probably no reason to believe it will be different this time. Although Microsoft has corrected - or tried to correct - any flaws of its products through service packs, these flaws were a horrible advertising for the company. Apple has benefited after the launch of every Windows - be it the 98 version, the 2000, the XP and finally the Vista version.

Windows releases are not new for Apple. But Apple has no need to be afraid of new Microsoft products. The company has a small, but extremely faithful, share of users. For the company, it is only a new Windows release, and it should not be feared. Specially if Windows 7 requires a similarly high number of services packs, Apple could already celebrate getting a bigger market share, since what drives users to Apple are the headaches caused by Windows.

However, until now, the IT press, analysts, bloggers and the like, are astonished by the performance and features of the new Windows 7. From a commercial point of view it will certainly not be a disaster. It is doubtless a well-developed product, which brings add-on capabilities.
