I think mobi standards are changing to meet the fixed one, today tons of PDAs as I-Phone are ready to load a full site as this board without special coding for mobile devices. mobi rules were a need just when connecting from slow WAP phones, today is more easy finding high speed connections even on phones thanks to HDSPA, EDGE, UMTS and so on...

Well, maybe it's out to dated, so they gave this for free.
I don't know about web mobile world, but I saw some survey result somewhere that most people (60%) like to browse internet using their mobile device. I forgot which country that survey took place.
